General Confederation of Labour holds training on ethnicity – religion in Soc Trang, Lang Son

The Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor held on November 7 a training on ethnicity and religion for key cadres of local labor confederations in Mekong Delta Region.

The training drew over 100 cadres of the labor confederation tasked with information and propaganda work from 13 provinces of Long An, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, An Giang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang and Can Tho city.

Present at the event included Vice President of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor Ngọ Duy Hiểu, Deputy Minister for Ethnic Minority Affairs Lê Sơn Hải, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairwoman of the People’s Council in Soc Trang province Hồ Thị Cẩm Đào.

The training is part of information and propaganda tasks under the project on supporting information and propaganda on ethnicity and religion, and the national target program for the sustainable poverty reduction 2021- 2025 in Vietnam.

Earlier on November 4, the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor held a similar training for local cadres of 15 labor confederations from Northern Midlands and Mountains.

The one-day training covered key contents of practical issues relating ethnic policies and religions on ethnic minority areas, and professional skills for information and propaganda work on ethnicity and religion during multimedia communications.
