The delegation was welcomed by Bishop John Đỗ Văn Ngân of Xuan Loc diocese and new Auxiliary Bishop of the diocese Dominic Nguyễn Tuấn Anh.
During the visit, Deputy Secretary Hồ Thanh Sơn extended congratulations to the new Auxiliary Bishop of Xuan Loc diocese, expressed hope that in his new position Auxiliary Bishop Dominic Nguyễn Tuấn Anh together with Bishop of the diocese John Đỗ Văn Ngân would continue guiding priests and lay Catholic followers of the diocese to closely work with provincial authorities and promote roles of the local Catholic community in boosting socio-economic development of the locality.
On behalf of Xuan Loc diocese, Bishop John Đỗ Văn Ngân took the chance to thank local authorities for their due attention and supports extended to the affairs of the diocese and religious practices of local Catholic followers over the past time.
For his part, new Auxiliary Bishop John Nguyễn Tuấn Anh highlighted fine relations and collaboration between the diocese and local authorities during his time serving in various roles in Xuan Loc diocese, and stated to continue promoting close relations with local authorities for the development of the locality
As reported, Pope Francis appointed Priest Dominic Nguyễn Tuấn Anh of Xuan Loc diocese as the new Auxiliary Bishop of the diocese on August 24.
