A conference for disseminating the Law on Belief and Religion to key followers of religions in Vinh Long province was held on October 16.
The conference was organized by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and attended by 100 participants representing dignitaries and deacons from religious organizations in the province.
The one-day event covered new contents and key issues of the Law on Belief and Religion passed by the National Assembly in November last year.
The conference aimed to enhance knowledge of the State policies and laws relating religion amongst local religious followers, contributing to ensure religious practice conducted in accordance with the law on belief and religion when it take effect on January 1, 2018.
Vinh Long province currently is home to 285,000 followers of eight religions, accounting for 27% the provincial population.
