Disseminating laws on construction and management of worshipping relics to student monks and nuns in Hanoi

The Committee for Religious Affairs in Hanoi in collaboration with the municipal Department of Justice held on June 10 a disseminating conference on laws on construction and management of belief and religious relics for monks and nuns of the Hanoi Buddhist School.

The event taking place at Dai Tu An pagoda located in Phung town of Dan Phuong district saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the municipal religious committee Phạm Bảo Khánh, dignitaries from the municipal executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s chapter in Hanoi, and over 200 student monks and nuns of the Hanoi Buddhist School.
The one-day conference covered key contents on belief, construction and management of relies, as well as provided explanations of practical issues raised by participating monks and nuns.
Hanoi currently has seven religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodaism, Islam, Baha'i and Minh Su Faith, with about 700,000 followers, 2,500 dignitaries and more than 5,000 deacons.
The city also has 4,995 belief and religious places including 1,664 religious establishments, 2,556 belief establishments and 775 belief-religious worshipping places.
