A delegation from the Political Institute under the Ministry of Defense paid a visit on May 9 to the Northern province of Ha Giang for learning about the current religious life the locality.
During the visit, the delegation led by Colonel Assoc. Prof., Dr. Lê Xuân Thủy has an exchange meeting with the provincial committee for religious affairs of Ha Giang.
The meeting focused on exchanges of the religious demography and the apparatus of the state administration on religion in the locality, as well as concerning issues and practical experiences related to religious affairs in Ha Giang.
As reported at the meeting, Ha Giang province currently is home to over 30 thousand followers belonging to three recognized religions of Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism, and most of them are ethnic minorities residing in 120 out of 195 communes and wards in the province.
