Speaking at the visit, Chairwoman of the central mass mobilization commission Trương Thị Mai praised contributions made by Khmer Buddhist dignitaries in the province in strengthening the solidarity and guiding religious practices of Khmer people.

For the Khmer Pali School in the province, Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai expressed hope that the school's staff will continue to do well in education and training for making the institution as a prestigious place to train Khmer Buddhists to become key personnel cadres for serving the socio-economic development of the Southern region, contributing to the development of the country.

During the visit, the Solidarity Society of Patriotic Buddhist Monks in Soc Trang province informed about the society’s affairs in 2020. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020 and early 2021, the society’s executive committee has issued several notes asking Khmer Buddhist pagodas in the province to implement urgent measures to prevent Covid-19, reduce the organization scale of Chol Chnam Thmay and Sene Donta festivals, and other Khmer traditional masses, as well as strengthen the communicative work on epidemic prevention amongst Khmer Buddhist monks and followers.
