Commission for mass mobilization leader receives religious deputies

Politburo Member and Head of the Vietnam Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai on November 19 hosted a reception for religious deputies of the 14th National Assembly (NA) attending its eight session in Hanoi.  

During the reception, the chairwoman of mass mobilization commission affirmed that the Party and the State consistently respect and protect freedom of belief and religion of all people.

Referring to the Law on Belief and Religion 2016, Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai stated that the Government Committee for Religious Affairs has done a good job of dissemination and implementation training of the law to religious dignitaries and deacons.

She also spoke highly of the role of religious dignitaries who are deputies of 14th NA in making decisions on the country’s important issues and religious affairs, as well as in persuading followers to support the Party’s policies and the State’s laws.

During the reception, religious dignitaries stated that the implementation of the new law on belief and religion has better met people’ need for belief and religion practices in the country.
