Ba Vang pagoda honored for Covid-19 prevention work

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Quang Ninh province on September 30 presented certificates of commendation to Ba Vang pagoda and its Cuc Vang Buddhist club for their contributions in Covid-19 prevention and control in the province.  

The presentation event saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Hoàng Đức Hạnh and Chairman of the Party Commission Committee for Mass Mobilization in Uong Bi city Đào Ngọc Sơn.

During the event, Vice Chairman Hoàng Đức Hạnh spoke highly of practical contributions made by Venerable Thích Trúc Thái Minh, Abbot of Ba Vang pagoda, monks, nuns, and lay Buddhists of the pagoda, especially Cuc Vang Buddhist group, in supporting pandemic prevention work and people affected by the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh city and Southern provinces.

At the reception, Venerable Thích Trúc Thái Minh informed that lay Buddhists of Ba Vang pagoda have contributed one billion VND to the provincial epidemic prevention and control fund.

Sharing with the VFF official, the Venerable affirmed that monks, nuns and lay Buddhists of the pagoda will continue joining hands in social work in general and the pandemic prevention work in particular.
