During the visits, representatives of municipal authorities spoke highly of outstanding efforts made by the religious dignitaries and deacons for the Covid-19 prevention work, as well as expressed hope that the religious dignitaries and deacons would continue encouraging lay followers to support to pandemic prevention work in the locality.

The municipal authorities also handed over certificates of recommendation to eight religious dignitaries and deacons in Buddhist pagodas, Catholic monasteries and parishes, and Evangelical churches for their practical contributions in fighting the pandemic.

As reported, form late June 2021, religious dignitaries and deacons of religious organizations in the city have successfully called on members and other donors to support over 300 tons of agricultural products sent to disadvantaged people in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Phu Yen provinces. In addition, the religious organizations in the city have donated over 300 million VND to the Covid-19 vaccine fund.
