Ambassador of Vietnam to Ukraine Nguyễn Hồng Thạch paid on November 12 a visit to Patriarch Filaret of Ukrainian Orthodox Church at his home in Kiev.
During the visit, Ambassador Nguyễn Hồng Thạch had exchanges with the host on religious practices in Vietnam, the Orthodox Church and practices of religion in Ukraine, historical relations between Vietnam and Ukraine, and the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-Ukraine diplomatic relation.
The Vietnamese ambassador also expressed hope that Patriarch Filaret and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church would continue supporting and promoting the traditional friendship and fine relations between Vietnam and Ukraine.
Patriarch Filaret expressed his delight at the fine relations between Vietnam and Ukraine, and stated that the Ukraine’s Orthodox Church consistently supports and fosters the friendship and solidarity between Vietnamese and Ukrainian peoples./.
