The Vietnam Buddhist Association at Czech Republic solemnly held a Buddhist Parents Day ceremony on September 6 at Sapa Trade Center in Prague.
The ceremony was presided by Venerable Thích Trí Đắc, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Association at Czech Republic and nearly 700 followers from 13 branches and those interested in Buddhism.
Attending the ceremony included Ambassador of Vietnam to Czech Republic Trương Mạnh Sơn, Chairman of the Vietnam Association in the Czech Republic Hoàng Đình Thắng, and representatives of Vietnamese communities in the country.
With the aim to educate young Vietnamese in the Czech Republic about the filial piety, the Buddhist ceremony 2015 emphasized on “Four Debts of gratitude”, including gratitude to the parents, grandparents and ancestors; gratitude to the teachers; gratitude to those people who defend peace; and gratitude to country and the society for embracing and nurturing ourselves.
