Vatican Foreign Minister visits Vietnam National Children Hospital & Vietnam Museum of Ethnology

Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Vatican's Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations visited on April 10 the Vietnam National Children Hospital (VNCH) and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

Accompanying with Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher included Archbishop Resident Representative of Vatican in Vietnam Marek Zalewski and Priest Joseph Đào Nguyên Vũ, Chief of the Office of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam.
At the VNCH, Prof. Dr. Trần Minh Điện, Director of the Hospital and members of the VNCH’s Executive Committee of the Hospital welcomed the Catholic dignitaries.

Director of the VNCH Trần Minh Điện informed key indicators of the VNCH in 2023, and results of a medical cooperation between the VNCH and the Bambino Joseph Hospital since 2005 and a cooperation program signed in 2011 with focuses on cardiovascular surgery, urology, organ transplantation and some molecular biology testing techniques, etc.

For his part, while appreciating a warm welcome from the Hospital, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher expressed his delight at by the VNCH’s achievements in 2023. On the occasion, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher also presented a set of donations to poor patients in the VNCH.

At the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Head of the Communications and Education Department of the Museum An Thu Trà welcomed and served as a tour guide for the visiting delegation.
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a place to display and preserve culture of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.
