Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident Special Envoy of the Vatican to Vietnam paid a pastoral visit to Phu Luong Parish under Binh Long Deanery of Phu Cuong Diocese on May 7.
The Vatican Archbishop’s visit was accompanied by Bishop of Phu Cuong Diocese Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước.
During the visit, the Vatican prelate led a service in the parish’s church and visited families with disadvantages in the locality. He also encouraged local Catholics to actively engage in social charities, especially charitable activities for the poor, the rejected and those on the margin in the region.
