The Swiss Fribourg choir visits and performs at My Tho Diocese

Fribourg was established in 1952 by composer Pierre Kaelin, who was well known for hundreds of mountaining folk songs featuring the culture of people living in the Alps.

It is a favourite art troupe in Switzerland, which has given performances in many important cultural and political events in Switzerland and other nations in the world. During their Vietnam tour, the Swiss choir performed in My Tho Diocese on October 16th.

At the My Tho Cathedral Church, after a holy mass presided by priest James Hà Văn Xung, Fribourg choir introduced very impressive performances with 14 songs of lyrical and melodic tunes, fearturing typical Swiss folk musics.

Earlier in its Vietnam tour, Fribourg choir performed in many places in the country including the Hanoi Youth Theatre, Congregation of the Hue Holy Cross Lovers, My Tho Cathedral Church, Phu Binh church in Ho Chi Minh City. At each place, Fribourg choir also presented gifts to  poor children.
