Switzerland’s Vice President and Foreign Minister visits Hanoi Cathedral Church

Switzerland’s Vice President and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis paid an official visit to Vietnam from August 4 - 6. On this occasion, Vice President Ignazio Cassis visited Hanoi Cathedral Church located in No. 40 Nha Chung street in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem district on August 5.

Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên welcomed the Switzerland’s Vice President.

During the welcoming reception, Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên informed the current religious life in general, and Catholicism in particular, in Vietnam, as well as shared about Hanoi Archdiocese, including its history and architecture of the Cathedral church.

Vice President Ignazio Cassis, while expressing his pleasure at visiting a favorite place in Hanoi, took the chance to thank Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên for its warm welcome and exchanges.
