Provincial authorities of Lam Dong receives Cambodian Ministry of Cults & Religion delegation

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Lam Dong province Phan Văn Đa hosted on January 14 a reception for a visiting delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Cults & Religion.

The delegation was led by Deputy Secretary of the Cambodian Ministry of Cults & Religion Ke Sam Oeun.

Joining with the delegation included Vice Chairman of the GCRA Trần Tấn Hùng, Deputy Director of the Home Affairs cum Chairman of the provincial Religious Committee in Lam Dong province Ngô Văn Đức.

During the reception, Vice Chairman Phan Văn Đa exchanged with the guests the religious life and the state administration on religion in Lam Dong province.

According to the local leader, the province currently has seven state-recognized religions of the Catholicism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Bahá'í Faith, Hoa Hao Buddhism, Caodaism and Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church with nearly 800 thousand followers in total, said Vice Chairman Phan Văn Đa.

Provincial authorities have paid due attention for meeting legitimate demands of religious organizations in the province, he added.

Speaking with the host, Deputy Secretary Ke Sam Oeun thanked to provincial authorities and the GCRA for facilitating the delegation visit and stating that the visit to Lam Dong helped the delegation gather valuable experiences in religious affairs in the locality, contributing to enhance the efficiency of ethnic and religious affairs in Cambodia.

The visit of the Cambodian delegation was part of the working visit to Vietnam for attending the exchange conference on religious affairs between Vietnam and Cambodia held from January 11-15 in Lam Dong province’s Da Lat city.
