Offering tribute to Bodhisattva Thích Quảng Đức in Thailand

A commemoration ceremony to honor Bodhisattva Thích Quảng Đức, who set himself on fire 53 years ago – 1963 was held on Sept. 29 at Canh Phuoc Pagoda in Bangkok, Thailand.

The ceremony held on occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam – Thailand diplomatic tie, and saw the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Embassy in Thailand and Royal Thai Government, and large numbers of Buddhist monks and followers who are overseas Vietnamese in Thailand.

As reported, the idolatry of Bodhisattva Thích Quảng Đức was designed with four different shapes, including the sculpture depicting Bodhisattva Thích Quảng Đức sitting inside a heart-shaped flame casted by Thai artist Banjerd Lekkong.
