New coadjutor bishop of Bac Ninh Diocese appointed

Priest Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the Saint Joseph's Seminary in Ho Chi Minh City under the Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese has been appointed as Coadjutor Bishop of Bac Ninh Diocese by Pope Francis on October 30.  

Priest Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang was born on November 7, 1965 in Thu Duc City of Ho Chi Minh City. He studied at the Saint Joseph's Seminary in Ho Chi Minh City from 1993 and was ordained as a priest on June 30, 1999.

The priest served as Deputy Head of Cho Dui Parish under Sai Gon Deanery from 1999 to 2001, and studied at the Catholic Institute of Toulouse in France and the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome from 2001 to 2010. He taught at the Saint Joseph's Seminary in Ho Chi Minh City from 2010 to 2021 and was appointed as Deputy Director of the Saint Joseph's seminary in the city from August 2020 to October 2021.
