A ceremony was held on December 18 in Hanoi to present Laos orders and medals to officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), the Government Committees for Religious Affairs (GCRA) and the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEMA) who made outstanding contributions to promote the Vietnam - Laos friendship in religious and ethnic affairs.

Joining the event was Deputy Minister of the MOHA Vũ Chiến Thắng, former Deputy Minister of the CEMA Hoàng Xuân Lương, Standing Vice President of the Laos Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee Khamlay Sipraseuth, and Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc.

On behalf of the Laos President, Standing Vice President of the LFNC central committee Khamlay Sipraseuth handed over third-class Issara (Freedom) Orders to MOHA’s Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng and third-class Labor Orders to Vice Chairpersons of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga, Nguyễn Ánh Chức, and Nguyễn Tiến Trọng.

At the event, eight other officials of the GCRA were presented with the LFNC’s Medals for their outstanding contributions to promote the Vietnam - Laos friendship in religious affairs.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng thanked the Laos Party and State and the LFNC for bestowing noble awards on officials of the Vietnam’s state agencies in charge of religious and ethnic affairs. He also expressed that the MOHA, the GCRA, the CEMA, and the LFNC central committee would continue effectively implementing cooperation agreements relating religious and ethnic affairs in the coming time.
