A delegation of Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) paid a working visit to Vietnam from August 19-23, at an invitation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA).
At the working meeting taking place at the GCRA’s headquarters on August 20, the LFNC delegation led by LFNC Vice President Som Ock Kingsada and the government religious committee led by Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng exchanged views on each country’s current religious issues and reviewed the implementation of their cooperation agreement on religious affairs signed in Hanoi in July 2014.

The two sides agreed to continue increasing delegation exchange and bolstering cooperation in training governmental officials in charge of religious affairs, thus contributing to strengthening friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos as well as relations between the two countries’ Buddhist Sanghas.

Earlier on the same day, Minister of Home Affairs Lê Vĩnh Tân hosted a warm reception for the visiting LFNC delegation where he highly appreciated cooperation activities between the Laos Front for National Construction and Vietnam’s home affairs ministry and government religious committee.
LFNC delegation visits Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam
On the occasion, the LFNC delegation has visited and had a meeting with the provincial government of Quang Ninh, and paid visits to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi, Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam Province and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province.
