International forum on promotion of artistic values of traditional Thai dance in contemporary society

An international seminar on preservation and promotion of the art of Xoe dance of Thai ethnic people in contemporary society took place on October 4 -5 at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the provincial governments of Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau and Son La.
The seminar saw the presence of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tạ Quang Đông, representatives from authorities of Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La and Lai Chau, Thai dance artisans, experts from the United Kingdom, Mexico, Korea, Thailand, China and Laos, etc.
During the event, Vietnamese and international experts, researchers and local managers and artisans discussed theoretical and practical issues relating the management, preservation and promotion of Xoe dance in contemporary society.
