Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi paid a visit on May 16 to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s head office in Quan Su Pagoda, Hanoi.
Welcoming the Ambassador included Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Director of VBS Information and Communication Committee Thích Gia Quang and dignitaries of the VBS’s Executive Council.
During the meeting reception, the two sides discussed exchanges and cooperation in Buddhist affairs as well as religious culture and arts.
The Indonesian Ambassador also informed that a delegation of Indonesian Buddhism accompanied by a cultural and artistic delegation will visit Vietnam in July 2017, and expressed hope to receive support from the VBS for their activities in Vietnam.
Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang said he would warmly welcome such visits and do his best to support Buddhist delegation’s activities while visiting Vietnam.
