A delegation from the International Buddhist Association of Taiwan led by Most Venerable Thích Liên Hải visited the Vietnam Buddhist Institute (VBI) on January 6 in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).
Receiving the guests were Venerable Thích Viên Trí, Venerable Thích Nhật Từ and Venerable Thích Phước Đạt, the three Deputy Directors of the Institute. At the meeting reception, Venerable Thích Viên Trí introduced the founding process of the Institute its, training activities, and the new facilities currently being built in Le Minh Xuan commune (Binh Chanh district).

During the meeting reception, Most Venerable Thích Liên Hải informed the hosts purpose of the delegation’s Vietnam visit which aimed to create further education opportunities in Taiwan for elite Vietnamese monks and nuns.
The delegation also visited Hue Nghiem pagoda and met Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council cum Chairman of the HCMC VBS Executive Committee, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in HCMC.
