Ho Chi Minh city: Khmer language centre established

On November 7, on occasion of 62nd anniversary of Independence Day (9/11/1953 – 9/11/2015) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association officially announced the establishment of the Khmer Foreign Language Centre in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).

Attending the event included Chairman of the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association Vũ Mão and representatives of Cambodian Consulate General in HCMC.

The language centre is located in Thien Ho Duong street, Go Vap district, HCMC. The main purpose of the center is to teach Khmer language so as to help officials, members and entrepreneurs better understanding customs, habits and culture of Khmer people.

Speaking at the event, the representative of Cambodian Consulate General in HCMC stated that the launching of the Khmer Foreign Language Centre would strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries and also promote the traditional relation, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability between Vietnam - Cambodia.
