Vice Chairman of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India, Mrs. Preeti Saran to discuss the organization of the International Day of Yoga in Vietnam at Quan Su pagoda (Ha Noi city) on May 15.
At the reception, Mrs. Preeti Saran expressed her hope that VBS’s dignitaries and followers would support and joint the first International Day of Yoga in Vietnam, to be held in Quan Ngua stadium (Ha Noi city) on June 21.
She also stated that Yoga is a spiritual path of the Indian civilization, and part of the system of beliefs in Hindu as well as Buddhism.
According to the India Ambassador, the event will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and VBS.
