Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông, Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Binh Duong province hosted on December 4 a reception for a visiting delegation of Buddhist dignitaries from Cambodia led by Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong.
The event taking place at Hoi Khanh pagoda, Thu Dau Mot city saw the presence of Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thịnh and members of the VBS’s executive committee.
During the reception, Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thông shared with the guest the history of Hoi Khanh pagoda as well as Buddhist practices in Binh Duong province.
Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong thanked the VBS chapter in the province for warm reception. Although Buddhist traditions in each country are different, we can learn from those differences for building solidarity and harmony, he noted.
