A delegation from the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Vice Chairman of the Committee Trần Tấn Hùng paid a working visit to Malaysia and Singapore from July 18 to 24.
While in Malaysia, the GCRA delegation had working sessions with the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) and Department of National Unity and Integration Putrajaya.
During the working sessions, the two sides exchanged on issues relating to religions as well as state administration on religious affairs.
Head of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) Mohamet also expressed his willingness to give technical support for the establishment of Halal certification in Vietnam.
During a working visit to Singapore, the GCRA delegation had a meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. The delegation also attended a meeting with voters of the Minister of the Government Office and visited Pasir Ris Weet Community Club (People’s Association).
The two sides exchanged experiences on state religious affairs, including the maintenance of the national and religious unity
