The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) held a workshop with the theme “conflict resolution skills” on March 26-27.
Attending the program were government officials working on religious affairs and about 100 religious dignitaries, deacons and researchers.
The workshop discussed several contents including causes of conflict and approaches to conflict resolution, religious conflict, harmony and reconciliation, religious responsibilities in resolving current social conflicts…
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the GCRA reaffirmed that Vietnam always respect and guarantee citizen’s right to freedom of belief and religion. He also acknowledged practical achievements made by religious individuals and organizations to the socio- economic development throughout the country.
The two-day seminar created opportunities for exchanges of skills and experiences in resolution of conflicts within and between religions.
