Gathering of communication bishops in Asia held in Vietnam

The Office of Social Communication of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) held its annual meeting on October 3-8 at the K’Long Don Bosco monastery of Salesians of Don Bosco in Lam Dong province’s Duc Trong district.

The conference was hosted by the Episcopal Commission of Social Communications of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam and attended by 13 bishops, 32 priests, one Catholic sister and 12 staff of the social communication from Asian countries’ Catholic churches.

Vice Chairman of Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng and Chairman of Lam Dong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức joined at the opening ceremony of the event.

The 8-day event focused on discussion of the Catholic churches in the digital age and experiences of Vatican on this issue, especially about digital culture. After the conference, participanting Catholic dignitaries also attended a mass held in the Dalat Cathedral, and enjoyed cultural art performances by Ko Ho believers and toured beauty spots in Da Lat city.
