On July 21, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Organisation Nguyễn Thanh Bình led a delegation to offer incense to fallen soldiers at the Truong Bon National Historical Site in My Son commune, Do Luong district, in the central province of Nghe An.
The delegation expressed their respect and deep gratitude to heroes and martyrs who devoted their youth and lives to national independence. Their sacrifices will always be shining examples for the younger generations to study and follow.
Earlier, the Buddhist Sangha Executive Board in Nghe An province held a requiem for fallen soldiers at the Vietnam – Laos International Martyrs’ Cemetery.
*A delegation from the Bureau of Health under the Ministry of Public Security offered incense and flowers to fallen soldiers at the Vi Xuyen National Martyr’s Cemetery in the northern province of Ha Giang.
* Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel JSC and Chu Dau Ceramic JSC have provided over VND3 billion (US$129,000) to upgrade and embellish 790 martyr’s graves at the Truong Son National Martyr’s Cemetery.
An Phat Plastic and Green Environment JSC also funded over VND1.1 billion (US$47,300) to upgrade 250 martyr’s graves at the Road 9 National Martyr’s Cemetery in Quang Tri province.
*Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa provincial People’s Council, Phạm Thanh Sơn, led a delegation to pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Dien Bien provincial cemetery on July 20 and 21.
Thanh Hoa province has more than 800 martyrs resting in cemeteries in Dien Bien province, including hero To Vinh Dien, who was buried at the A1 Hill Martyr’s Cemetery.
