The exchange conference on religious affairs between the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Cambodian Ministry of Religions and Cults was successful concluded on January 15 in Lam Dong province.
Attending the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng, Deputy Minister of State at the corresponding Cambodian ministry Ke Sam Oeun, Chairman of Lam Dong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức and delegates from the Cambodia agencies.
The five-day event covered exchanges on the religious life, religious roles, and state administration on religion in Vietnam
Apart from presentations during the conference, the Cambodian delegates had fact-finding trips to some religious establishments in Lam Dong province including Truc Lam Zen Monastery and Linh Phuoc pagoda.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng said that the conference has contributed to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in religious affairs as well as the Vietnam – Cambodia traditional friendship.

For his part, Deputy Minister Ke Sam Ouen thanked the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs for organizing the exchange conference on religious affairs and expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between the two agencies in charge of religious affairs of Vietnam and Cambodia in the coming time.
