The delegation of Cambodian Ministry of Cults and Religions led by Minister Him Chhem visited on March 12 the Southern office of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) based in Quang Duc monastery located in Ho Chi Minh City's District 3.
The delegation visit was welcomed by Most Venerable President of VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn.
Joining the welcoming reception included several members of the VBS Executive Council based in Ho Chi Minh City and Director of the Department of International Relation under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Đức Vinh.
During the reception, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn expressed hope that the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam and Cambodia would receive further support from the Minister of the Cambodian Ministry of Cults and Religions for Buddhist exchange and coorperation.
Minister Him Chhem visits Minh Dang Quang Buddhist monastery
On the same day, Minister Him Chhem also paid a visit to Minh Dang Quang Buddhist monastery located in the city's District 2 on occasion of the working trip to Vietnam from March 11-15.
