Buon Me Thuot province: Vatican Archbishop visits local parishes

On December 6, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident Special Envoy of the Vatican to Vietnam visited Dong Xoai parish in Ban Me Thuot diocese.

During a mass held in Dong Xoai parish, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli has delivered a preaching and urged Catholic dignitaries and followers to promote fine traditions of Catholicism, as well as show themselves as good people in the society.

In the same day, the Archbishop also visited two parishes of Tan Lap and Tan Hung in the province.

Dong Xoai parish was established in 1991, and currently has about 4000 Catholic followers.

Tan Lap parish was founded in the late 1970s and currently has about 5,500 followers.

Tan Hung parish is home to over 3000 Catholics and its church is under reconstruction on an area of 1,409m2 with an estimated cost of VND 15 billion.
