Buddhist sangha in Ho Chi Minh City sends supports to flood victims in Laos

A delegation from the social charity board under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s chapter in Ho Chi Minh City has paid a charity visit to people seriously affected by floods in the Laos southern province of Champasak.

During the visit the delegation in collaboration with the Vietnamese Buddhist coordination board presented 1,000 packets of relief supports, valued at VND 800 million in total and raised amongst Buddhists and donors in Ho Chi Minh City, to flood victims the Lao province.

Joining the charitable event included representatives of the Religious Affairs Department of the Lao Ministry of Home Affairs, the Vietnam Embasssy in Laos, the Lao Buddhist Coalition, the Vietnamese Association in Laos, and provincial authorities of Champasak./.
