A delegation of the committee for religious affairs in Binh Duong province led by Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh paid a working visit to Cambodia in late June, upon a formal invitation from the Ministry of Cults and Religions of Cambodia.
Joining the delegation included representatives from the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization, Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s committee and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in the province.
While in Cambodia, the religious delegation paid courtesy visits to Minister of Cambodia Ministry of Cult and Religion Him Chhem, Great Supreme Patriarch of Cambodian Buddhism Tep Vong and Supreme Patriarch of the Thammayut Order of Cambodia Bour Kry.

The delegation also had exchange meetings on religious affairs with the department of cults and religions in Phnom Penh city and provinces of Siem Reap and Svay Rieng. During the meetings, the two sides had exchanges on the religious life and experiences in the State administration on religion in the two countries in general, and in Cambodian provinces and Binh Duong province in particular.
On the occasion, the delegation visited the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia, the Khmer-Vietnamese Association and several cultural and historical sites and Buddhist establishments in Cambodia.
Cambodia is home to six religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Islamic, Caodaism and Baha'i in the country in which followers of Buddhism make up more than 90 percent of the population.
