Bac Ninh province: Japanese Buddhism delegation visits Phat Tich pagoda

On October 22nd, 2014, a delegation from Japanese Buddhism led by Most Venerable Sagawa Fumon visited Phat Tich pagoda.

Welcoming the delegation were Venerable Thích Thanh Phụng, Head of the Bac Ninh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee and monks from Phat Tich pagoda.

Japanese Buddhism delegation offered incense and performed Buddhist rituals in the main hall, learnt about architectural and artistic values of Phat Tich Pagoda.

Phat Tich pagoda or Van Phuc pagoda is located in Phat Tich village, Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province, built in 1057 according to Dai Viet Su ky toan thư (the Complete Annals of Dai Viet).
