During the visit, the Archbishop met with Vice Chairman of  Son La provincial People’s Committee  Phạm Văn Thủy and visited Mai Son Catholic commune and Son La parish.

At the meeting with provincial authorities, the two sides exchanged openly on religious activities in the locality. The Archbishop expressed his hope that the local authorities would create more favorable conditions to religious activities by Catholics from localities of Son La city and districts of Moc Chau, Mai Yen, Muong La and Chieng Khoong.
