700 boarding nuns at Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City hold prayers for India

On May 5 evening, more than 700 boarding nuns at the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City lit 1,000 candles and prayed for India.  

During the event, boarding nuns recited the name of Bodhisattva Guanyin and the Great Compassion mantras to pray for the blessings of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva extended to India for overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as made donations to Indian people.

Earlier, on May 3, the VBS Central Executive Council released a dispatch calling on Buddhists to offer practical contributions for helping Buddhists and people affected by the current wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
