Priest Executive Chairman of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh on February 2 led a delegation to visit the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) ahead of the traditional lunar New Year (Tet) of the Dog.
The CSVC delegation was welcomed by GCRA’s Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn at the committee’s head office in Hanoi.
During the visiting reception, Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh extended Tet wishes to all GCRA’s officials and staff. The priest chairman also briefed the host on the 7th national congress of the Catholic solidarity committee to be held in 2018 and affirmed that the CSVC will continue operating under the motto “Living the Gospel in the Nation” of the Vietnam Catholic Church.

Speaking with the guest, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn highlighted the CSVC’s role for fostering Catholic solidarity and social charities in the country and thanked Priest Chairman Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh for his visit on occasion of Vietnam traditional New Year 2018.
