Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs receives representatives of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vietnam and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church

On April, 28, 2014, at the headquarters of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice – Chairman of the GCRA received a delegation of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vietnam and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church. Attending the reception were also leaders and officials from the Departments of International Cooperation and Protestant Affairs and the Office of the Committee.
Representatives of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Vietnam included Pastor Trần Công Tấn, President of the Church and Pastor Trần Thanh Truyện, General Secretary of the Church.
Representatives of the General Conference Seventh-day Adventist Church included Pastor Ted Norman Clair Wilson, President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church, Pastor Johnny Lubis, Vice President of Asia-Pacific division (its office in Philippines); Pastor Mok Joshua Won, President of Southeast Asia Union Mission, Pastor Medan Anak Liah, General Secretary of Southeast Asia Union Mission and ministry pastor Danson Ng Kim Yam of Southeast Asia Union Mission (its office in Singapore)
At the reception, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà welcomed the delegation’s visit to GCRA and expressed his willing to share and exchange information on delegation interests
On behalf of the delegation, Pastor Ted Norman Clair Wilson thanked the GCRA for its warm welcome. He also shared that this is his first travel to Vietnam to help the Seventh-day Adventists Church of Vietnam teaching the Bible and visit a heroic and beautiful country.
Pastor Ted Norman Clair Wilson expressed thanks to the leaders of the Party, State, and GCRA of Vietnam for creating favorable conditions for the Seventh-day Adventists Church of Vietnam and helping Adventist chapters and almost nearly 15,000 Adventists in 32 provinces and cities in their religious activities. Pastor Ted Norman also expressed his wish to welcome leaders of the GCRA to visit United States, especially the headquarters of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church in the coming time.
Mr. Bui Thanh Ha congratulated the development of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church. He also highly appreciated the church’s activities toward serving human society. Mr. Bui Thanh Ha affirmed that Vietnam is a multi-religious country, the Party and State of Vietnam always respect and guarantee its people rights to freedom of religion and belief and as well as religious equality for all religions in Vietnam./.
