Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga hosted a reception on January 26 for a visiting delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2022.
The VBS delegation was led by Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council, and joint by Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Vice Chairman of the VBS executive council.
During the visiting reception, while extending Tet greetings to the GCRA officials and staff, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu took the chance to thank the GCRA for favorable conditions extended to Buddhist affairs of the VBS during the last year, especially the celebration of the VBS’s 40th founding anniversary.
The most venerable also had exchanges with the hosts on the organization of the 9th national congress of the VBS, scheduled held in November, 2022.

Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga thanked the VBS’s delegation visit and expressed hope that the VBS would continue promoting fine values of Buddhism and making practical contributions for socio-economic development in the country.
