Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu led a delegation to visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on Feb. 10 on occasion of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the GCRA Phạm Dũng, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà, leaders and officials of the Buddhist Affairs Department welcomed the VBS delegation.
Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu extended New Year wishes to leaders and officials of the GCRA and expressed his hope that the Committee would continue paying due attention to and creating favorable conditions for the VBS’ activities.
The GCRA Chairman Phạm Dũng conveyed his best wishes to most venerables, venerables of the VBS Executive Council on occasion of the Traditional Tet Festival. He also discussed with the guests about the draft law on belief and religion project, religious activities of Buddhist overseas and other Buddhist issues.
