The state governance on belief and religion for the 3rd quarter in Vietnam North has been reviewed at the meeting held on October 2 in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
The meeting chaired by Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga saw the participation of representatives of concerning central agencies and ministries, and heads of the provincial-level committee for religious affairs in 25 provinces and cities of the Northern region.

As reviewed at the meeting, religious practices in the region in the last three months of 2019 have taken place in accordance with charters and regulations of religious organizations, and in compliance with state laws.
The meeting also pointed out practical issues to be tackled in the coming months, such as deviant spiritual practices, unlawful usage of land and construction for worshipping purposes, the slow grant of the land-use right certificate to religious worshipping places in some localities.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga asked for the strengthened implementation of the Party’s Resolution 25 on religious affairs, timely addressing of remaining tasks and issues relating belief and religion in localities of the Northern region, as well as favorable conditions for celebrations of Christmas and New Year festivals.
