The Government Committee for Religious Affairs receives representatives from Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam

On May 28, 2014, at the headquarters of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice – Chairman of the GCRA had a working session with Mr. Habibollah Pour Motahar, Deputy Head of Mission – Counselor Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Attending the meeting were also leaders and officials of Department of Other Religions, Department of International Cooperation and Department of Organization and Personnel under the Committee.
At the meeting, two sides exchanged some issues of mutual concern. Mr. Habibollah Pour Motahar thanked the GCRA for its welcome and said that his visit aims at boosting cooperation between Vietnam and Iran, especially in science and education.
Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice Chairman of the GCRA said that the cooperation between Vietnam and Iran saw new developments in recent times. Currently, the Government of Vietnam is promoting economic, political and cultural relations with Muslim countries, including Iran. On behalf of the GCRA, Mr. Tấn thanked the Embassy for its support and expressed his hope that the both sides will have more opportunities to exchange and boost cooperation in the future.
