On February 2, Vice Chairman of Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng received delegations from several religious organizations from Vietnam South at the committee’s Southern Office ahead of the Traditional New Year 2018.
In welcoming receptions the GCRA leader met with representatives of Phu Cuong Catholic Diocese, Southern Protestant sects and Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Chapter from Vinh Long province.
During the visiting receptions, religious dignitaries extended Tet greetings to all GCRA’s officials and staff. They also took the chance to thank the GCRA for supported and favorable conditions to practices of religions and express belief that the new Law on belief and religion that has taken effect in January 2018 will further facilitate religious affairs of religions.
Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng thanked religious dignitaries for their Tet visit. While extending Lunar New Year greetings to followers of religions, the GCRA leader also called on them to promote fine traditions for social unity and sustainable development in the country./.
