Seminar on development trends of religions

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on September 30 a seminar on scientific and practical foundations on development trends of religious organizations in the 2020-2030 period.  

The event was presided over Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thi Minh Nga and attended by officials of central management agencies and Hanoi city, scholars and researchers from institutions for religious studies, and heads of the GCRA’s departments.

During the event, participants focused on development trends of religions in the world and Vietnam in the new contexts, with emphases on development trends of Buddhism, Protestantism, Caodaism, religious communities of Mong ethnic group in North region, international factors affecting development trend of religious organizations in Vietnam, and recommended measures some oriented solutions.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga highlighted constant changes of the religious life in Vietnam. However, religious organizations in Vietnam have steadily developed with main development trends of observing state laws and staying attached to and accompanying with the nation.
