Ministry of Home Affairs reviews six-month activities

The Ministry of Home Affairs held on July 6 an online conference for reviewing the home affairs sector’s performance in the first six months of 2022 and approving working plans for the last months of the year.

The event was chaired by Minister of Home Affairs Phạm Thị Thanh Trà, and attended by Deputy Ministers of Home Affairs Nguyễn Trọng Thừa, Nguyễn Duy Thăng, Triệu Văn Cường, Vũ Chiến Thắng and Trương Hải Long, and officials of the provincial – level home affairs departments and representatives from concerning ministries and central agencies, with the total of 1,800 participants at 63 online gateways.

As reported at the event, in the six months of 2022, the home affairs sector reviewed and submitted to competent agencies proposals and draftsto amend, supplement and newly issue legal documents, in order toconcretize guidelines and orientations in accordance with the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, contributing to ensure the uniformity,  consistency, transparency and the efficiency of the home affairs sector’s apparatus.

Regarding the state administration on belief and religion, in the first six months 2022, the Ministry of Home Affairs has well implemented the Party and the State’s guidelines and policies on belief and religion, and timely guided religious practices according to operating mottos of religious organizations.

Addressing at the event, Minister of Home Affairs Phạm Thị Thanh Trà spoke highly of workingresults of the home affairs sector in the first six months of 2022, and affirmed that thehome affairs sector has overcome all challenges and difficulties, and basically completed tasks assigned for the first half of the year 2022.

She also highly appreciated participants’ comments and proposals at the reviewing conference, and urged the Office of the Ministry to gather raised opinions from home affairs departments in provinces and cities in completing the draft working  report of the home affairs sector in the first half of 2022.

Regarding the last working months of 2022, Minister Phạm Thị Thanh Trà asked the ministry to focus on improving and completing the organizational structure and policies of the sector, and continue downsizing the payroll for cadres and civil servants andstrengtheningthe state administration on belief and religion, etc.
