Inspection of belief & religion law implementation in Lam Dong

A delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng paid an working visit to Lam Dong province on May 9-13 for inspecting the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in the province over the 2019-2021 period.

During the visit, the GCRA delegation had meetings with the provincial People's Committee and district-level authorities of Duc Trong, Di Linh, Da Lat and Bao Loc for assessing the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016, and took a field trip to several belief and religious establishments in the locality.

As reported, Lam Dong province currently has seven operative religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodaism, Baha’i, Hoa Hao Buddhism, and Minh Su Faith, with about 797,000 religious followers, 64 religious worshipping establishments, and two religious training institutions.

In addition, the province also has 278 worshipping establishments of folk belief, in which 10 worshipping places recognized as provincial-level cultural-historical relic sites.
