Home affairs ministry’s working group meets with religious committee, home affairs department in Ho Chi Minh city

A working group of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) had on August 30 a working meeting the home affairs department and the committee on religious affairs of Ho Chi Minh City.    The working group set up for strengthening the state administration on belief and religion in Ho Chi Minh city and southern provinces was headed by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng.   

The meeting focused on exchanges related impacts of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic on religious organizations and followers in the city, necessary supports extended to religious individuals and organizations, urgent needs and requests of religious organizations, collaboration with relevant authorities to solve difficulties in sending essential supplies to people in need by religious organizations; and the vaccination for religious followers, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng asked the municipal home affairs department  and the municipal religious committee to closely work with the working group in supporting religious organizations to carry out social and charitable activities, promoting to resources for the Covid-19 prevention work as well coordinate with leaders of religious organizations for updating necessary information for better assisting religious and organizations in the city.
