Hanoi Archdiocese extends traditional New Year greetings to Government Religious Committee

Cardinal Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Nguyễn Văn Nhơn led a delegation to visit the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on January 16 ahead of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year.
Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà welcomed the delegation.
At the visiting reception, Cardinal Nguyễn Văn Nhơn wished officials and staffers of the GCRA a peaceful, prosperous new year and took the chance to thank the GCRA for its support extended to religious practices by religious organizations over the past years.
While extending Lunar New Year wishes to Cardinal Nguyễn Văn Nhơn and visiting delegation, Chief Executive Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà spoke highly of the Catholic Church’s role and responsibility towards society. He also expressed hope that the Cardinal and dignitaries of the Catholic Church would enhance their roles in encouraging followers to proactively take part in social work for the development of the country.
The Vice Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State always encourage and create favorable conditions for pastoral and social activities of the Catholic Church.
